Massive neutral fermions, like the known neutrinos, can be Majorana or Dirac fermions. I discuss the two options and highlight how they differ from one another. In the case of the known neutrinos, we don't know if they are Majorana or Dirac, for the most part, because the neutrino masses are tiny. If that were not the case, there would be several accessible phenomena capable of revealing the nature of the neutrino. I conclude by discussing how the nature of a hypothetical neutral fermion can be establishing by measuring how it decays into a lepton and a boson.
