The light emitted from energetic final-state particles within a detector forms the basis of many different neutrino experiments. This signal from neutrino interactions comes in different forms - like Cherenkov emission and fluorescence from scintillators - and is accompanied by a variety of detection techniques. This seminar will provide an overview of a few such technologies, drawing examples from Fermilab's past, present, and future neutrino experiments.
